My brother has Parkinson's disease. He recently had surgery and came home with a Foley catheter. He lives alone, and urine bags were proving to be an insurmountable hurdle in his recovery because of his motor problems. He had a great deal of difficulty emptying and changing the bags. The EZ-Flow valve gave him an option he could deal with. Similar products are available in England. Published studies there indicate the rate of urinary tract infections with the valve are no higher than with conventional urine bags, and that the valves provide a much needed option for some patients with Foley catheters.

Our catheter supply company switched us from Surgilube to Dyna Lube after our first month's order. I am sure it was because of cost because Dyna Lube is definitely an inferior product. The packets require scissors to open effectively eliminating their sterility. And the lube itself is clumpy and does not stick to the catheter well. I will pay out of pocket to get Surgilube since our insurance will only cover DynaLube which in my experience is useless.

I thought I had a urinary tract infection so I found this kit online and ordered it. My suspicions were right so I called my Doctor and he prescribed antibiotics for me. This test saved me a visit to the Dr. office.

I have used one of these for over a year (just to see how long it would last) with perfect performance. Occasional cleaning with bleach solution has kept it clear and odor free. I had another brand that sprung a leak, but since I place the bag in a plastic container, no harm done. There are cheaper, but why not use the best.

Whoever designed these must have thought they needed to be "sexy" because they have hi-rise leg openings. I'm a side sleeper, so leakage just pours out since there isn't full coverage. I've used them because of the price, but never again.

This catheter is convenient to use. It requires no KY jelly because when you wet it, the hydrophilic coating is activated.

We have been using 3M Micropore tape for years. Yes, we have tried others, even some given to us by the hospital. We keep coming back to 3M. It goes on well and is not uncomfortable to wear. My wife insists on it.

The caths are easy to use and I have experienced no discomfort. The polished eyelets prevent scraping that can cause irritation and infection. I have a permanent spinal chord injury and find that it easily inserts with the curved tip - no muss no fuss. I started with 14" and am now using 16" and do not ever want to change to anything else.

I have been self-catheterizing for a few months and usual buy a different brand - the brand that the hospital gave me some samples of. I just sort of got used to the pain of inserting and removing the catheter (I use the 14fr 16" straight end catheters.)
Upon entering the AtHomeMedical.com web site for a reorder, I noticed on the homepage a featured product, the Cure Catheter, featuring fire-polished eyelets. So I took a look. I thought that surely all catheters had this feature, but the brand I was getting did not mention it. The price on the cure catheters was actually a bit less than what I had been ordering, so I thought I'd try them.
Well, I was so extremely pleased with the first one I used in that the pain was much reduced. I attribute it to the polished eyelets. It must be that the others' eyelets are not polished, so upon insertion and removal, the eyelets were actually scratching the eurethra. But, it was only the first one, so I thought I'd wait to see how it went with others before getting to excited about it!
Well, they are consistent in the reduced pain. The quality of the product is great, and the price is right. It's a horrible way to have to live by needing to use a catheter just to use the bathroom, but it is what it is, and these Cure catheters are making it much easier and less painful than what I had previously been using.

I have used the Coloplast-Mentor Self-Cath Olive Tip Coude for years now. The stiff plastic is very good for moving past a stricture without the catheter bending. I sometimes have trouble moving the tip into the bladder, however, so it might be easier if the tip were a bit thinner. Overall, it's a nice product and I will continue to use it.

I have used this product for 8 Months, three to four times a day without a single problem. While other products are good they have occasional problems with burrs on the insertion ends, one in every thirty cause some discomfort, while I have not had a single problem in over 700 units. It is approximately one third the cost of it's nearest competition.

appreciate the product as the cost of same in Canada is twice the price; the only concern that I have is: advertised "free" shipping for orders $100.00 and over; however, my shipping fee was $33.00.....I understand being shipped to Canada is extra cost, but perhaps your advertisement should state - free shipping to United States, only.

Husband has been needing to use catheters for a year now, Red rubber are the one's sent home by dr. office, but he continued to feel a scratching feeling(painful) when used. we believe due to the eyelets aren't uniform and not finished off(you can actually see little burr's sticking out around eyelets)? But nonetheless thought he should try these cure ones which had great reviews from others and he didn't feel anything in or out...Yeah! we ordered more! Thank you at home medical and please continue to carry these... When no pain or discomfort is felt. Price isn't even considered but these are very affordable.

It is imperitive to use sterile Caths and Lube so as not to have bacteria enter the urinary tract when inserting them. We trust that the lube is a quality and sterile prduct.

My husband had a stroke in April 2010. It is hard for him to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. This product enables him to have a better night sleep without worrying about getting up to use the bathroom. It is a good product for people who have mobility issues.

Unless the area is completely dry and the catheter fits perfectly, I would not recommend this catheter for outside use since there is a small chance of leakage. Instead, my family member prefers this for bed time use. And to be truthful, there is rarely any leakage at night. For outside use, he prefers a more thicker catheter with stronger adhesive.

I like the product , it is easy to use . I would recommend it in public facilities where you want to keep a distance . The only hard thing is that you need long enough arms to control where the output goes . I could envision using this product outside or in a vehicle where you have a proper receptacle .

The image of the bag is the style WITHOUT anti-reflux chamber...which is the ones I used to get, works IDEAL for bedside, fluid flow is easy; this is not those though. This HAS the anti-reflux and is not good for bedside, it doesn't need anti-reflux; fluid pressure is needed to push thru the chamber...can possibly result in fluid-inflated condom catheter. I don't know why after 15 years they now put this anti-reflux chamber; with these I have to check while i'm asleep if my catheter had burst = leak.

I found no difficulty with ease of use of this brand of catheter. However, the size slowed the rate at which the bladder was emptied. My next purchase went up to 14 Fr.

my wife is totally disabled and needs cathing 3-4 times daily. i use these longer caths with a male urinal bottle to eliminate spills and messes. i can concentrate on the cath and not worry about wher it's going. my wife is very comfortable with the process.

Colorplast has come out with this soft catheter that is much more comfortable to use than the traditional hard plastics .

The only problem with these bottles is that the opening is not wide enough to insert the syringe directly, which would be good so that a tray is not necessary.

I would recommend this product because it works great is packaged well so I know it is sterile and the cost is much more reasonable then any other company I checked. I also received the product very quickly and i only paid for standard shipping.

The Freedom Cath allowed us both to get good rest at night but each one can be used once. What a small price to pay for good uninterupted sleep! With the 24/7 hour care my husband requires after his stroke, we feel this to be a blessing.

I like the product for its size and comfort. I hardly notice it except for if it rubs against something the plastic is noisy and it could use a filter. I haven't found a product in this size with a filter.

When it was time to purchase urinary catheters again, I went on-line to At Home Medical as I had done before. There I found a brand I had not seen before, CURE. They were less expensive than the single use catheters I had purchased previously, but the description was nearly identical to the previously purchased brand, though they were packaged straight rather than doubled over. So I purchased them, and I was really pleased with their quality. The ends were well polished to permit smooth entry and exit, far superior to the inconsistent performance of the previous brand. Unless something changes radically with future purchases, CURE has found a lifelong customer.

Does exactly what it is supposed to. It's quite slippery, and hangs on to what you apply it to, ie: suppository, insertion tool or fingers if you move quickly. It could be a bit thicker to help it stay put, but it's not a huge concern.

I bought these for my brother after he had trouble with his urologist's cheap catheters which were sliding down into the urethra and cutting off urine flow. They are excellent. No more problems and the price is excellent.

This is the only one we have tried that actually stays on. Not a negative, but because it is self-adhering or "sticky", we use baby oil to help take it off to prevent skin tearing.
