Maximum cut-to-fit opening by item

HLL15302 has a 1-3/4" flange for stomas up to 1". HLL15303 has a 2-1/4" flange for stomas up to 1-1/2". HLL15304 has a 2-3/4" flange for stomas up to 2". The selector's opening measurements refer to these maximum cut-to-fit sizes. Each box contains 5 convex CeraPlus barriers without tape.

Use and care information

Measure the stoma and cut the opening according to the supplied measuring and cutting instructions, staying within the maximum size for the selected item. Confirm that the corresponding pouch has the same flange size.

Apply to clean, dry, intact skin. Avoid oils or lotions because they can interfere with adhesion. Remove the release covering and apply the barrier as shown in the manufacturer instructions; the tape-border steps do not apply to this no-tape series.

Follow the illustrated removal steps and local disposal rules. Do not flush the used barrier or pouch.

This is a single-use product. Reuse can cause poor adhesion; reprocessing, cleaning, disinfection, or sterilization can damage the product and lead to odor or leakage.

Check the fit around the stoma. An incorrect opening or leakage can cause skin irritation, broken skin, rash, or redness and may shorten wear time.

Does a listed 1" opening mean the barrier is pre-sized?

No. All three items on this page are cut-to-fit. For HLL15302, 1" is the maximum stoma size listed by the manufacturer; HLL15303 and HLL15304 have maximum sizes of 1-1/2" and 2" respectively.

How do I match the pouch?

Select a corresponding New Image pouch with the same flange size as the barrier. The flange size is separate from the cut-to-fit stoma opening.

Does this series include a tape border?

No. It is a full hydrocolloid, no-tape barrier. Follow the no-tape application shown in the supplied instructions. If you are unsure whether convexity is appropriate, seek help from your stoma care nurse or healthcare practitioner.
