Cut-to-fit and pre-sized convex choices

HLL11402, HLL11403, and HLL11404 have maximum cut-to-fit stoma openings of 1", 1-1/2", and 2", with 1-3/4", 2-1/4", and 2-3/4" flanges respectively. HLL11503 and HLL11504 have pre-sized 7/8" and 1" openings with a 1-3/4" flange; HLL11505 and HLL11506 have pre-sized 1-1/8" and 1-1/4" openings with a 2-1/4" flange. Each listed item is a box of 5 barriers with tape.

For a cut-to-fit item, measure the stoma and prepare the opening according to the supplied measuring and cutting instructions. Pre-sized items already have the selected opening. Confirm that the corresponding pouch has the same flange size.

Apply to clean, dry, intact skin. Avoid oils or lotions because they can interfere with adhesion. Remove the release covering and apply the barrier and tape border as shown in the manufacturer instructions.

Follow the illustrated removal steps and local disposal rules. Do not flush the used barrier or pouch.

This is a single-use product. Reuse can cause poor adhesion; reprocessing, cleaning, disinfection, or sterilization can damage the product and lead to odor or leakage.

Check the fit around the stoma. An incorrect opening or leakage can cause skin irritation, broken skin, rash, or redness and may shorten wear time.

Product fit depends on factors including stoma construction, stoma output, skin condition, and abdominal contours. Contact a stoma care nurse or healthcare practitioner for help with the pouching system or skin irritation.

How do cut-to-fit and pre-sized items differ?

For HLL11402 through HLL11404, cut the opening to the measured stoma within the stated maximum. HLL11503 through HLL11506 already have the listed pre-sized opening.

Which pouch fits these barriers?

Use a corresponding New Image pouch with the same flange size. Match that coupling size separately from the stoma opening measurement.

Is this the same as the no-tape CeraPlus barrier?

No. These 1140x and 1150x items have an adhesive tape border. The 1530x and 15310x no-tape series are separate product choices.
